'Jersey Boys' alumni highlight Stevenson Foundation Performing Arts Series

Under the Streetlamp, a quartet featuring the original Chicago cast members of the hit musical Jersey Boys, highlights the 2011-12 Spotlight on Stevenson performing arts series sponsored by the Stevenson High School Foundation. The quartet will perform in the Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Leading off the series on Saturday, Nov. 12 will be ComedySportz, the longest-running short-form improv show in Chicago. Now in its 24th year, ComedySportz is a completely improvised show in which two teams battle for laughter.

Spotlight concludes on Sunday, Feb. 19 with Ralph Covert and his traveling circus of catchy tunes for kids, known as Ralph's World. A member of the grown-up band, The Bad Examples, Covert brings a mix of rock and intelligence that wows kids and their parents.

Tickets for all three shows can be purchased by calling (847) 415-4121.

The Stevenson High School Foundation was created in 1993 to connect the District 125 community and its high school. The Foundation's goals are to enhance opportunities for Stevenson students, teachers and staff and support the school's mission of success for every student; and to extend Stevenson resources to all district residents through community partnerships and outreach programs.
