Triphahns to lead July 4 parade in Hoffman Estates

The Triphahn family will be the grand marshals of the Hoffman Estates Fourth of July Parade. Scott Triphahn was a longtime Hoffman Estates Park District board president who died last year from cancer. His family will be recognized for their efforts throughout the community, Mayor William McLeod said. The parade starts at 9 a.m. and goes down Hassell Road through the village. This year’s theme is “United We Stand.” There’s also a children’s bike parade, and its participants should gather around 8:45 a.m. at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
