Register today for summer camp at Addison Park District

While kids are breathing a sigh of relief that summer vacation is finally here, parents who are looking for ways to keep their kids busy this summer can enroll their kids in a variety of weekly summer camps offered by the Addison Park District.

Weekly registration is accepted for each of the four 11-week day-camps provided to kids 3 – 13 years of age. Parents may choose to register their child for one week, all eleven weeks or any variety of weeks that work best with one's schedule. Day camps are available beginning June 7 and offered through the week ending August 19.

Tiny Tots Camp is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily to the youngest campers who are preschool aged or entering kindergarten in the fall. Campers will enjoy making crafts, playing a variety of indoor and outdoor games, playing on the Splash Pad of the Family Aquatic Center and going on weekly field trips every Tuesday. Campers should bring a towel, swimsuit and a sack lunch with them each day of camp.

Kids Camp and Sports Camp are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily to kids who are entering 1st – 5th grades in the fall. While Sports Camp is truly all about sports, Kids Camp participants will enjoy a variety of activities including sports, games, arts and crafts and swimming at the Family Aquatic Center. Campers of both Sports Camp and Kids Camp will go on weekly field trips every Thursday. Parents have the option of registering their kids for camp weekly so that campers can select a specific sport of interest. All campers are required to bring a sack lunch with them daily.

Adventure Camp is offered to the boldest campers entering 6th – 8th grade in the fall. Campers will have the opportunity to go on a variety of field trips 2-3 times each week with destinations such as Great America, water parks, museums and shopping malls to name a few. Campers must bring a sack lunch for each daily adventure. Field trip schedules are available at both Community and Centennial Rec Centers.

Day Camp Extended Care is offered in the mornings from 7 to 9 a.m. and immediately following camp from 4 to 6:15 p.m. Extended care is available at both Community and Centennial Recreation Centers to provide additional supervision and activities for campers.
