Cops take to Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops May 20 for Special Olympics

The ninth annual Cop on a Rooftop event benefiting Special Olympics Illinois will take place at 116 Dunkin’ Donuts statewide from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 20.

Hundreds of police officers who staked out Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops raised more than $207,000 last year. Patrons who donate to Special Olympics during the event get free doughnuts.

This year, participants include Mount Prospect locations at 1001 S. Busse Road, 820 E. Rand Road and 1301 N. Wolf Road; the Palatine store at 801 E. Dundee Road; and the Dunkin’ Donuts at 893 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg. For more information, visit soill.org.
