Rolling Meadows powers to invite win
Rolling Meadows (11-2) won its own four-team invite Saturday by defeating Wheeling 7-0 in the championship game.
It was the ninth shutout of the season for the Mustangs, who received 2 goals apiece from Ann Marie Lynch and Elyse Koutas.
Wheeling goalkeeper Liz McDaniel turned in 8 saves.
Sarah Bohac handled the goaltending duties for Meadows.
Bohac had a goal (assisted by Sarah Shumacher) in Meadow’s 3-0 shutout over Rock Island in the semifinals.
The other two were scored by Jackie Kemph (assisted by Maggie Moran) and Amanda Gunn (Alex Partipilo).
Emily Haeger made 2 saves as the Mustangs goalkeeper.
