Schaumburg d. South Elgin: Jake Mendel had 13 kills and Trevor Aguinaga added 10 kills and 10 blocks but South Elgin lost a tough 3-game nonconference match, 25-20, 17-25, 25-22. Nick Pawlowski and Nick Broches each had 10 blocks for the Storm (7-9) and Pawlowski had 32 assists.

Conant d. Larkin: Drew Martinez had 9 digs, 3 aces and 5 kills and Stephen Dominguez added 11 kills and 8 digs but Larkin came up short, 25-23, 25-21, in nonconference play. Tim Yang had 17 assists and 8 digs for the Royals and TJ Weaver added 5 kills.

Addison Trail d. Bartlett: David Upp had 5 kills and Russell Martin added four but Bartlett (12-8) fell in nonconference action 25-19, 25-22.
