Fine Line holds Raku Show April 16-May 27

The Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 6N158 Crane Road in St. Charles will host an exhibit featuring Raku fired ceramics.

Representing more than 25 talented artists, this gallery show features contemporary, one-of-a-kind pieces showcasing the ancient art of Japanese Raku (pronounced rah-koo). This unique glazing and firing process for ceramics results in unexpected and highly unusual colors and textures.

An opening reception is scheduled for April 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The show runs through May 27. The Fine Line Creative Arts Center, which is just west of Randall Road, is closed on Sundays.
