Keep experience on District 15 board

I am pleased to see the Daily Herald endorses the re-election of Gerald Chapman, James Ekeberg and David Seifert to the Palatine Township Elementary District 15 school board.

I've lived in Palatine most of my life. I attended District 15 schools. My children also attended school in District 15. I am very proud of our public schools. However, it's clear to me that local public schools are at risk. This is especially true for District 15.

Now, more than ever, is the time for experienced and committed leadership. Gerald Chapman has spent his entire professional life as an educator. He rose to superintendent of High School District 211 where he ran one of the largest school districts in the country.

James Ekeberg is a physician. He is a product of local public schools. Dr. Ekeberg has donated countless hours as the team physician for Palatine High School's football team.

David Seiffert is a businessman with a history of leadership in youth activities. Most recently he headed the District 15 Educational Foundation.

The slate of Chapman, Ekeberg, Seiffert provides District 15 with experience and proven leadership that is simply unmatched by any other candidate.

Please join me in voting for Gerald Chapman, James Ekeberg and David Seiffert.
