Flapjackies for the Lamackis
Noah Lamacki was 7 months old when he was diagnosed with Infant Acute Lymphblastic Leukemia (ALL). He had been intermittently sick for a few months, but his parents Kate and Matt were unprepared for the devastating news. ALL is rare in children, and is treated very aggressively. In the last year, Noah has
endured more than 100 days in the hospital and over 400 doses of chemotherapy. He has undergone 3 major surgeries, 16 spinal taps, and 25 blood transfusions.
After 13 months of intense treatment, Noah reached the maintenance stage, and is able to live life like a normal toddler. However, the medical procedures that saved his life also left mounting bills. Meadows Church is hosting a $5 all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast fundraiser on March 12 from 8 am to noon. The breakfast also features hourly silent auctions and a bake sale.
Meadows Church is located at 2401 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. For more information, call 847-255-8764 or visit www.meadowsfamily.org.
