District 211 talks class sizes
The Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 board discussed class sizes at Thursday night’s meeting.
Of this year’s 3,379 classes, 16 — about .5 percent — were above the maximum of 15 students. Seven of those classes are special education or ESL sections, where the maximum is set at 13.
Also, 1513 sections, or 44.6 percent, were below the maximum ranges.
The report was compiled by District 211 staff, along with the teachers union.
