Northbrook teen charged with child porn possession
A Northbrook woman told Lincolnshire police she took naked pictures with a 14-year-old Glenview girl to help out her own modeling portfolio.
Paula R. Ferdkoff, 19, of the 600 block of Greenwood, was arrested Feb. 17 on felony counts of soliciting a minor to engage in child pornography and possession of child pornography, police Investigator John-Erik Anderson said.
Ferdkoff posted the required 10 percent of her $75,000 bond Saturday and has been released from Lake County jail, Anderson said. Her next court date is unknown at this time.
Anderson said Ferdkoff told police she was an aspiring model and a friend of the minor’s brother when she approached the minor for the purpose of taking the nude pictures in July 2010.
“(Ferdkoff) told us she wanted to do an erotic photo shoot to advance her future modeling career,” Anderson said.
He said the two snapped photos at a Lincolnshire photography studio on July 12, but the mother of the minor discovered the photos on a computer in August.
The mother, who also knew Ferdkoff, immediately called the 19-year-old and started an argument, Anderson said. Following the verbal battle, Ferdkoff phoned police in Glenview to file a harassment report against the woman.
However, when Glenview police officers interviewed the woman about the argument, she told police about the photographs, Anderson said.
Glenview officers phoned Lincolnshire police, who interviewed Ferdkoff and confiscated the pictures.
On Aug. 13, Lincolnshire police also searched and seized computers and other equipment from the photographer’s home and Lincolnshire studio, Anderson said.
No charges have been filed against the unidentified photographer as of yet, he said.
