Metea Valley wins first playoff game

Lori Obendorf scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Metea Valley in a 57-43 victory against Plainfield South on Monday at the Class 4A Downers Grove South regional. Megan Geldernick added 8 assists and 3 steals.

Maggie Angst scored 11 points and Michaela Stranski 10 for the Rams at the Class 4A Trinity regional.

Hinsdale South 49, Plainfield South 29:

Uzo Okoro powered in 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets at the Class 4A Naperville North regional.

Downers Grove North 58, Hinsdale Central 48:

Katie Hunzinger returned from a sprained ankle to score 15 points and Sarah Costello added 13 for the Trojans (12-15) at the Class 4A East Aurora regional.
