The 23rd Annual West Oak Middle School Band Boosters Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction raised approximately $8,000 for the school’s band program. The four-hour event at the Mundelein school featured performances by the student musicians at the middle school as well as a set performed by district alumni. Attendees enjoyed dinner, purchased raffle tickets and raced to outbid each other for silent auction items.
Volunteer Annde Levi said, “The bidding has been fierce, with people hovering over bid sheets. The energy level has been unreal!”
Among the most popular items were a Trader Joe’s gift basket and a family pool pass to the Vernon Hills Aquatic Center.
