Join in Lutherbrook Bowl-A-Rama Feb. 12-13

More than 500 dedicated bowlers will gather for the 24th annual Lutherbrook Bowl-A-Rama on Saturday, Feb. 12 and Sunday, Feb. 13 at the Stardust Bowl in Addison.

Bowling takes place both days from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 to 4:45 p.m., providing an afternoon of fun while helping Lutherbrook youth.

Scheduled to be among the bowlers on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. are Addison Mayor Larry Hartwig, Deputy Mayor Rich Veenstra and Village Trustees Tom Hundley and Bill Lynch.

Lutherbrook Child and Adolescent Center provides specialized residential treatment for youth, age 7-18 with severe emotional or behavioral difficulties due to trauma from previous abuse and neglect. These adolescents come to Lutherbrook to receive individualized therapy in a compassionate, nurturing and stable environment. It is through this care that they are able to heal, grow and reach their full potential.

Supporters may donate or register online by visiting www.lcfs.org/bowlarama. Bowlers can further support the event by creating their own individual Bowl-A-Rama web pages, which make it easy to collect and track pledges from family and friends.

A pledge form, which contains registration and sponsorship information, is also available at www.lcfs.org/bowlarama. For more information, contact Abigail Valentine at abigail_valentine@lcfs.org or (708) 488-5558.

Adding to the excitement is a raffle for a 58-inch plasma HD TV or a four-night trip with round-trip airfare for two. And that's not all: there will be many other prize opportunities throughout the event.

The Lutherbrook Bowl-A-Rama is again generously underwritten by Noland Sales Corp. in Wood Dale, meaning that all proceeds will directly benefit Lutherbrook's outdoor beautification and recreation special initiative. Bowl-A-Rama has raised more than $410,000 over the past seven years.

Lutherbrook is a program of Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois , a nonprofit social ministry organization serving more than 35,000 individuals annually with programs such as foster care, adoption, counseling, residential treatment and a variety of community services.
