Free library workshops at College of DuPage

The following free sessions are provided for College of DuPage students, staff and community members by the COD Library. All sessions will take place in the Library on the Glen Ellyn campus. For more information, call (630) 942-2383 or visit library.codlibrary.org/sos.

"Research Basics: The Research Process" will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, and Wednesday, Feb. 9 in the Library, SRC 3017. Learn about the research process, from creating a plan to putting it all together.

"Introduction to the Library" will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20; 6-7:30 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 24; and 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 in Library SRC 3060. Learn how to find books, videos, CDs and other materials in the library's collection, and explore additional research options.

"Research Basics: Finding and Evaluating Sources" will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 2, and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21 in Library 3017. Learn to use the COD Library catalog and databases to find resources for research and other projects.

"Advanced Research: Search Strategies and Techniques" will be from 7-9 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Library 3060. Learn effective and time-saving strategies used by the pros for finding the best information in databases on the web and more.
