Glen Ellyn agency receives grant funding

The Glen Ellyn Youth and Family Counseling Service is pleased to announce that the Charter One Foundation has provided generous support for the organization's programs.

“Charter One's contribution will go a long way in helping to underwrite and supplement the reduced fees charged to GEYFCS Community Counseling Program clients,” said Don Hane, executive director and lead therapist for GEYFCS. “We are truly appreciative of Charter One's partnership and dedication to the well-being of youth, families and the greater Glen Ellyn community.”

The GEYFCS is a community-based mental health service located in Glen Ellyn, providing professional counseling services predominantly to locally identified, at-risk youth and their families. Clinical services are provided at GEYFCS to help resolve concerns related to adolescent issues, effective parenting, family stress, grief, school problems, stress management, substance use and more.

“The GEYFCS' counseling programs serve as a critical resource to local residents who wouldn't otherwise receive the support that may be necessary in their lives,” states Stacey R. Sather, senior vice president and director of public affairs, Charter One. “By partnering with worthy organizations such as the GEYFCS, Charter One is proud to help those most-in-need in the communities we serve.”
