District 200 to host a Parent Resource Fair

On Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m., Community Unit School District 200 will host a Parent Resource Fair at Hubble Middle School. The parent resource fair is for parents who have children with disabilities or special needs.

All DuPage County parents of students with disabilities or special needs are invited to attend. Topics explored include: The Key to Adult Services and Funding; Guardianship; Transportation; Recreation and Leisure; Government Benefits; Mental Health Services; Local Colleges; In District Supports; Residential Support; Day Programming; Early Intervention; Community Agencies; Disability Advocates; and Specific Disability Awareness and Support Organizations.

According to John Durachta, a CUSD 200 School Social Worker, “this resource fair is an excellent opportunity to meet parents where they are and offer them some services to help their children be as successful as possible. At CUSD 200, we inspire excellence in all of our students.”
