York opened its West Suburban Silver schedule with a 64-54 win over Hinsdale Central. York (4-1, 1-0) received a game-high 23 points from Will Sullivan and 17 from sophomore David Cohn. Hinsdale Central (0-4, 0-1) was led by Tom Garvin's 18 points.
Illiana Christian 55, Fenton 49: Fenton (1-5, 0-1) was led by Dan Montano's 14 points, 12 from Colin Wallace and 10 from Jeremy Shimanek in the Metro Suburban Conference loss in Bensenville. Illiana Christian improved to 5-0, 1-0.
Plano 46, Lisle 44: Chris Wray's 16 points couldn't salvage the Interstate Eight opener for Lisle (1-3, 0-1). Phil Palicka and Kyle Frazier each scored 11 points for the Lions.
