Nature docents sought:

Volunteer docents, weekend naturalists, and interpretive office support are sought for the Volo Bog State Natural Area.

Weekend naturalists are adults who lead guided tours of Volo Bog one weekend day per month. Prospective volunteers are encouraged to attend the Wednesday Wetland Botany on Dec. 29. Docents assist in the Visitor Center one weekend day per month. nterpretive office support is a weekly position, on a Wednesday or Thursday. Volunteers are asked for a minimum commitment of one year.

Training will begin Saturday, Jan. 22 and continue on Saturdays, Jan. 29 and Feb. 5. For an application, and to set up an interview, call Stacy Iwanicki at (815) 344-1294.
