Mundelein High teacher wins award

Jim Drier, an English teacher at Mundelein High School, has earned the University of Chicago's Outstanding Educator Award.

He was nominated for the award by Alex Golovin, a recent Mundelein High graduate.

The award honors educators who changed or challenged the nominating students or helped them along the path toward intellectual growth, officials said in a news release.
