Last year: 16-11, 8-6, fourth in DuPage Valley Conference; lost 83-72 to East Aurora in Class 4A Plainfield East regional semifinals.

Top players: Mike Schremp, sr., G; David Niggins, sr., F; Hayden Daniels, sr., F; Alex Renn, sr., F; Nick Czarnowski, fr., C/F; Ian Lewandowski, jr., G; Bryce Kirk, jr., G.

Scouting report: Schremp and Niggins are two key cogs returning as starters from last season. Schremp, a point guard, averaged 5 points and better than 2 assists. Six-foot-six Niggins showed flashes of brilliance while averaging 10 points and 6 rebounds. Daniels and Renn add depth up front, and the who will bring matchup problems to opponents. If Lewandowski can share the ballhandling duties with Schremp and Kirk offers a perimeter presence, the Redhawks will be tough to beat. Inexperience, however, is an obstacle. “We need to grow up quickly,” Kramer said. “I know we’re going to play hard.”
