Scouting report: Latorre, the former coach at Driscoll who led the Highlanders to three regional titles and a sectional crown, becomes the Red Devils’ fifth coach in eight years with hopes of bringing some stability to the program. After two years coaching at Oswego East, Latorre inherits a team with no returning starters and limited varsity experience. Garvin is the most experienced and, at 6-foot-4, can score from inside or outside. Kladis can knock down 3-pointers as one of a handful of players who could lead the team in scoring on any given night. Kane also adds experience, although he’s been hampered by a knee injury. “We want to play tough out there,” Latorre said. “We need to develop a mindset where we’re going to work hard.”
