Kensington School anticipates January opening in Wheaton

Anticipating the opening of Kensington School of Wheaton, parent information sessions are being held at Arrowhead Golf Club. Barbara Marlas, founder and owner, will introduce parents to the Kensington School vision of early education. Kensington School, recognized for its innovative early childhood curriculum and extraordinary classroom environments, has been educating young children for over 40 years.

Kensington School will open its newest custom built school on South Naperville Road in Wheaton, January 2011. Adjacent to Seven Gables Park, the 14,000-square-foot building is positioned to provide the optimal educational environment – indoors and out – for young children.

“A superior learning environment can have a significant impact upon the young child,” says Barbara Marlas. “We meticulously design child-centered schools that provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and security for each child. Working with our in-house architect, we are creating a beautiful, welcoming school that children will recognize as a place built just for them.” Incorporated into the design of the Wheaton school is an indoor gymnasium and library.

Parents are invited to attend information sessions on either Sunday, Nov. 7 at

2 p.m. or Saturday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. Please call (630) 990-8000 for more information.
