LZ, Stevenson net nonconference wins

Lake Zurich moved to 22-7 on the season with a 25-18, 25-16 sweep of Elk Grove on Monday.

Natalie Gora led the way for the Bears with 11 kills while teammate Amanda Orchard added 9 kills and 2 blocks.

Lake Zurich setter Alexis Hartman had 26 assists, 3 blocks and 2 service aces.

Stevenson d. Palatine: Carlee Berland rolled up 6 kills and Rachel Baader and Kierstyn Hansen each had 4 kills as Stevenson posted a 25-18, 25-13 sweep of Palatine.

Setter Jenna Przybyla had 12 assists and Nicole Duszczyk had 8 digs for the Patriots, who move to 21-8 on the season.
