Scouting Rolling Meadows at Hersey

Rolling Meadows (3-4, 1-2) at Hersey (3-4, 0-3)

When: 7:30 p.m. today at Roland Goins Stadium

Last week: Meadows lost to BG 16-13; Hersey lost to Elk Grove 28-13

Outlook: Both teams look to stay alive in the playoff picture as Meadows has a seven-year streak of trips at stake and Hersey tries to end a five-year drought. "This has a playoff feel to it," said Hersey coach Dragan Teonic. "We're starting to play better football this time of year but it's hard to gauge that because we just lost to a conference-championship caliber team (Elk Grove)." Hersey got a boost as OL-DL Tom Sutrinaitis returned from injury to play his first game last week on offense and will add some defense this week. Meadows suffered an unfortunate loss when LB-OL Colin Buscarini had surgery this week on his knee and sophomore QB Jack Milas also went out last week with an injured thumb. Meadows has won the last five meetings but Hersey leads the series 15-10.
