Chamber sponsors candidate debate at ECC
The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a forum for candidates in the 22nd Senate and 43rd and 49th House District seats, focusing on major issues affecting chamber members.
This will be an up close and personal opportunity to meet the candidates for local offices, listen to their viewpoints and ask specific questions. It will be moderated by Dave Strahl of AT&T. It will be held at Elgin Community College's University and Business Center, 1700 Spartan Drive.
There will be a 7:30 a.m. continental breakfast before the 90-minute Q&A, which begins at 8 a.m. Reservations are required; $15 for chamber members; $20 for nonmembers. Call (847) 741-5660.
