Scouting Rolling Meadows at Wheeling
Rolling Meadows (2-2) at Wheeling (1-3)
When: 7:30 p.m. today
Last week: Meadows d. Hoffman 28-0; Wheeling lost to Barrington 24-7
Outlook: Meadows bounced back from consecutive losses and now Wheeling looks to snap a three-game losing streak behind QB Tyler Brady (716 yards), WR Kyle Batiz (17 catches, 223 yards) and RB Eddie Scanlon. "We just have to find ways to get into the end zone and finish off drives and finish off defensive series," said Wheeling coach Dave Dunbar. "But we're continuing to work hard and play hard." Meadows sophomore QB Jack Milas threw 4 TDs in his first varsity start last week as Ryan Gundersen caught two and Artie Checchin returned from missing a week because of injury to get a TD catch. "They play hard and Doug (Millsaps) and his staff do a great job of preparing them," Dunbar said. Meadows has won 10 of the last 11 meetings in a series it leads 17-9.
