Naperville Central (1-0) at Neuqua Valley (0-1)

Game time: 7:30 p.m. today.

Last week: Naperville Central 17, Waubonsie Valley 10; Naperville North 29, Neuqua Valley 28.

Last year: Naperville Central 21, Neuqua Valley 17.

Outlook: Neuqua Valley led last year's game 17-0 at halftime when the Redhawks scored 3 unanswered touchdowns, one on a reception by current starting quarterback Hayden Daniels. He and junior Ian Lewandowski are sharing time behind center as the Redhawks try to get their playmakers the ball in different ways. Running back Matt Randolph and tight end Chris Levine also figure into that plan. Neuqua Valley is tired of leads vanishing - it led Naperville North 14-10 and 28-23. Trey Snyder ran for 144 yards, 3 touchdowns, but the defense must retool after allowing 475 yards on the ground.
