Jacobs' Woloszyk fires hole-in-one
Jacobs junior Kaitlynn Woloszyk lived every golfer's dream on Monday.
Playing in a dual meet against the Bartlett/South Elgin co-op at Randall Oaks, Woloszyk carded a hole-in-one on the par-3 17th hole.
Woloszyk used an 8-iron to notch the ace, her first, on the 121-yard hole.
Woloszyk finished with a round of 52 in the 9-hole match, which was won by Bartlett/South Elgin 198-209.
Ashley Morales was Jacobs' best scorer with a 49.
Sam Coyne led Bartlett/South Elgin with a medalist round of 42.
Hampshire second: The Hampshire girls golf team finished second at the Rockford Country Club Invite, shooting a 347. Rockford Boylan won the event with a 334, Burlington Central was seventh with a 406 and Huntley ninth with a 419.
Senior Taylor Ellett paced Hampshire, shooting a 76 on the par-68 course, which was good for second place. Junior Connie Ellett was fourth with an 80. Jessie Van Dorin had a 93 for the Whip-Purs and Grace Jakubowski shot 98.
