Peanut Butter Snack Bars
¾ cup packed light brown sugar #189; cup light corn syrup #188; cup honey1 cup creamy natural peanut butter 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 3#189; cups granola cereal1 cup powdered nonfat dry milkLightly spray a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray; set aside.Mix the brown sugar, corn syrup, and honey in a small saucepan and set it over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Boil for 2 minutes undisturbed, then remove the pan from the heat, and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla.Pour the peanut butter mixture into a large bowl. Add the granola cereal and powdered dry milk; beat with an electric mixer at medium speed until uniform and fairly cohesive.Gather the stiff, taffy-like mixture into a ball and press it into the prepared pan. Place the pan on a wire rack and cool completely, about 1 hour.Turn the entire protein bar block out onto a cutting board, then use a large knife to slice it into eight rectangular bars then cut each bar in half.
