Beach event rescheduledThe Battle at the Beach event in Lake in the Hills that was to have taken place on Saturday, July 24, was rescheduled to Saturday, July 31, due to flooding at Indian Trail Beach. The event will be held at 11 a.m. at 228 Indian Trail.Farmers market in AlgonquinAlgonquin's annual Farmers Market runs from 1 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through September in the municipal parking lot on South Harrington Street. Fruits, vegetables, baked goods, plants and organic goods will be available. This year's picnic includes raffles, touch-a-truck, arts and crafts, story time, a baggo tournament, relays and more. The picnic will be held rain or shine. Admission is free.
