Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit in McHenry Co.
A Lincoln Town Car struck a pedestrian at 12:15 a.m. Monday on Route 120 in McHenry Township, leaving her in critical condition, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Police said the 1997 car was heading eastbound in a business area east of Hill Road when it hit 45-year-old Darla Wilkinson, who was walking westbound in a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Sgt. Karen Groves said Wilkinson, who lives about three blocks from the site of the incident on Route 120, was highly intoxicated at the time of crash. She was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
The driver of the Lincoln, Wauconda resident Joan M. Pahlman, was sober and was not injured, she said.
The incident remains under investigation.
