Shifts in Gurnee pool revenueGurnee Park District's superintendent for business recently prepared a report showing season pass sales are projected to be 9 percent under budget this year. Timothy J. Sloth wrote in the report that 1,870 applications generated $387,889 in season pass revenue as of July 9 for the Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center. Last year at that time, he said, 2,031 applications were processed for $424,811. He said the pace for season pass sales indicates they will be off by 9 percent compared to 2009. Yet attendance is up 29 percent at the aquatic complex; Daily fee revenue is up by 21 percent compared to last year, according to Sloth.Fremont board meets todayThe Fremont Elementary District 79 board meets at 7 p.m. today, July 26, at the Intermediate School, 28754 N. Fremont Center Road, Mundelein. Board members will sign a recently approved teacher contract, discuss financial operations and review other business issues.Board moves meetingThe Libertyville-Vernon Hills Area High School District 128 board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, not on a Monday as usual. The meeting will be held at Vernon Hills High School, 145 Lakeview Parkway. The board will discuss employee changes and other matters.
