Motorcyclist dies in Lake in the Hills crash
A stretch of Randall Road in Lake in the Hills reopened at 3:19 p.m. Saturday after a crash claimed the life of a motorcyclist more than an hour earlier.
The crash occurred at about 1:55 p.m. at Randall and Miller roads, said John Green, battalion chief at the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, in a news release.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin where he was pronounced dead.
Green said the driver of the car that collided with the motorcycle was treated at the scene.
Green deferred other questions to Lake in the Hills police, who are investigating the crash and will release more information later.
