Sewer repair road closureWestbound Fabyan Parkway between Route 31 and Allen Drive in Batavia will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane. The closure is required to repair a failed sanitary sewer line.Seat belt violations in KaneThe Kane County Sheriff's Department wrote 108 seat belt citations in a two-week traffic campaign last month, officials said. The "Click It or Ticket" enforcement drive from May 14 to 31 also yielded six child safety seat citations, five uninsured driver citations and 10 speeding tickets. Two drivers were charged with driving on suspended or revoked licenses, and three additional arrests were made. The effort was funded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety.Haiti, Chile relief effortLord of Life Church will accept donations of supplies for the Haiti and Chile earthquake relief fund through Saturday. Donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at the front entrance of the church, 40W605 Route 38, Elburn. Volunteers are also needed for this event. Main St. The requested donation is $5.County road repairsKane County has begun crack-sealing on several roads. The work is expected to be finished by August. Intermittent single-lane closures during daylight hours will be required. Roads being repaired are Burlington Road, from Route 47 to the CCP Railroad Crossing; Burlington from French Road to east of Plank Road; McGough Road from Route 64 to Peplow Road; Keslinger Road from Route 47 to Dauberman Road; Keslinger west of Randall Road to Brundige Road; West County Line Road from Perry Road to Main Street; and Meredith Road from Route 64 to Keslinger.
