U-46 hires accounting firm to manage finances:Elgin Area School District U-46 school board members voted this week to hire an accounting firm to take over finances as they look for a new chief financial officer to replace Ron Ally, who leaves in July for Harper College. U-46 will pay Chicago-based Baker Tilly will pay one of the firm's partners $250 an hour, a manager $200 an hour and accountants $150 an hour. Board members said they believe the move will allow them more time to conduct a thorough search for Ally's replacement.Dundee Breast Cancer FundraiserThe Dundee Township Park District will hold its Breast Cancer Group Exercise fundraiser from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today at the park district, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville.
