MSL Cup: Hold that thought for another day

Barrington and Hersey lost only one match between them this season in the Mid-Suburban League. But the two best clubs just can not seem to beat the weather.

After outlasting several lightning raids last Saturday in the season finale for both sides, the 21st annual MSL Cup entrants were unable to do so Wednesday night when dangerous weather quickly came into the area to suspend the championship match in Barrington for the night after 12 minutes.

Play will resume at 6 p.m. Friday at Barrington from the point where play was halted. Both teams played to a 1-1 draw Saturday.
