Emery helps Mundelein polish off Young

Stephanie Emery made another memory.

The senior forward scored 3 goals and added an assist to help keep Mundelein's girls soccer team undefeated, as the Mustangs captured a 4-1 win over Whitney Young on Tuesday.

Emery now has 12 goals this season.

Ashley Begrowicz added a goal and an assist for Mundelein (5-0). Nathalie Mathis and Gaby Miranda also had assists, while Melanie Swager (2 saves) and Brooke Dennis (1 save) shared the shutout.

Whitney Young fell to 2-2.

Libertyville 4, Niles North 0: The Wildcats won their opening game in the Pepsi Showdown, as Michele McCracken led the way with a pair of goals. Haley Pike had a goal and 2 assists for Libertyville (4-1).

Wildcats freshman Sam Marsh also scored.

Lake Zurich 1, Lakes 0: In a Pepsi Showdown game, Sarah Stauner scored in the second half for the Bears (1-2). Gina McCoy assisted.

Lakes fell to 1-2.

CL Central 2, Grayslake C. 0: The Rams dropped a tough one, despite Kat Dickson's 8 saves in net.

Prairie Ridge 4, Grayslake N. 0: Knights keeper Brooke Sauer made 9 saves.

Grayslake North fell to 3-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Fox Valley Fox Division.
