Garand, 35, of the 600 block of Wright Avenue, Elgin, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. March 28 at Route 20 and North Bartlett Road and charged with possession of marijuana, traffic violations, and driving under the influence of alcohol. His court date is April 30.bull; Thieves stole 48 batteries valued at $3,900 out of the rear yard at Benchmark Construction Co. on Southwind April 1.bull; Christian Marshall, 19, of the 1500 block of Revere Circle, Schaumburg, was arrested around 10:15 p.m. March 28 on the 100 block of McClellan Court and charged with criminal damage to property and consumption of alcohol by a minor. Timothy Loughran, 22, of the 4200 block of Apollo Lane, Stone Park, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Their court date is April 20.bull; Burglars broke into a 2003 Ford F250 truck on Burton Drive March 26 and stole five nail guns, air compressor and construction radio. Loss was estimated at $3,050.bull; Thieves stole a 1990 Ford F350 truck with attached snowplow, plow controller, wings and receivers out of the parking lot at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 1044 Congress Drive, March 24. The truck was found in the lot of the Addison Walmart but the plow, plow controller, wings and receivers were missing. Loss was estimated at $5,300.Hoffman Estatesbull; Michael J. Donatelli, 25, of the 1800 block of Hawk Lane, Elk Grove Village, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. March 29 in an apartment on the 2200 block of Hassell Road and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a neighbor phoned police complaining about the strong odor of marijuana coming from the apartment. His court date is May 12.bull; Vandals scratched and dented the passenger's-side doors on a Nissan Altima on the 1900 block of Governors Lane around 5:05 p.m. March 30.bull; Thieves stole money and a debit card out of a purse at a restaurant at 3021 N. Barrington Road, between 5:25 p.m. March 25 and 7:30 a.m. March 26. The female victim left her purse at the restaurant by mistake. An employee placed it behind the counter. The woman discovered the cash and card missing when she retrieved the purse March 26. Someone had used the debit card to place two orders to a store in New York City, but they were voided when the name and address of the caller placing the order did not match the victim's name and address.bull; Burglars stole an in-dash radio/CD player, 12 speakers, and a ceiling-mounted DVD player out of a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van on the 700 block of Salem Drive between 5:30 p.m. March 24 and 10 a.m. March 26. Value was estimated at $1,700.Hanover Parkbull; Vandals spray painted graffiti at Maple and Pine Tree March 31 or April 1.bull; Thieves stole a uniloader and snowplow from a lot at 1513 Fremont March 31.bull; Edwin I. Izaguirre, 25, of the 7000 block of Mulberry, Hanover Park, was arrested around 8:15 p.m. March 31 at his home and charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.bull; Burglars stole a radar detector out of one vehicle, a GPS unit, MP3 player, and converter out of a second vehicle, and unidentified items out of a third at three separate addresses on the 1200 block of Citation overnight March 29-30. Burglars also stole items out of a vehicle on the 1500 block of Celebrity.bull; Mark A. Romphf, 45, of the 600 block of Norman, Cary, was arrested around 7:10 p.m. March 30 in a store at 7580 Barrington Road and charged with felony retail theft.bull; Paige M.
