6 ounces chocolate chips

½

teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 cups whipped topping

½

cup finely chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans

Melt chocolate chips in microwave or double boiler. Stir until melted. Add extract and blend. Gradually add whipped topping, beating until well blended. The texture should like a soft, gooey marshmallow. With a teaspoon drop walnut-size balls into finely chopped nuts, shaping into a ball with your fingers. Let stand overnight, covered, at room temperature or until firm. Store in refrigerator or freezer.

Makes 36 candies.

Cook's notes: You may substitute any flavor chips and extract you like.
