Assisi animal shelter to host fashion show

The Assisi Animal Foundation will present its annual fashion show and luncheon benefit on Saturday, April 17 at the Crystal Lake Country Club, off Country Club Road in Crystal Lake.

Nancy Loo, an anchor on Fox Chicago News, will be the event's celebrity host. The newest spring fashions, courtesy of Savvy Spirit in Barrington, a gourmet lunch and raffle prizes will be part of this event.

All proceeds from the event go toward the care of the many animals that call Assisi home. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and reservations are required. Tickets are $35. The Assisi Animal Foundation has been serving McHenry County for 24 years and has the distinction of being the first no-kill shelter in the county.
