The Rolling Meadows girls soccer team brought home some nifty hardware from the South Elgin tournament Saturday.

The Mustangs earned the first-place trophy by defeating Hampshire 2-1 for the championship played at Streamwood to complete a 4-1 record in the tourney.

Coach Jeff Adkins' team is 5-2 overall.

Sophomore Annie Lynch scored the Mustangs' first goal on assists from Maggie Moran and Alex Partipilo.

The game was tied 1-1 at half.

Partipilo's seventh goal of the season proved to be the game-winner in the second half when she scored on an assist from Moran.

Meadows goalkeeper Emily Haeger made 1 save as the Mustangs collected 16 shots on goals in the game.
