Mundelein takes Schaumburg invite

Boys water poloMundelein wins title: Thanks to the efforts of Pat Falconer and Will Davidson, who were named tourney co-most valuable players, Mundelein won the Schaumburg Invite.The Mustangs defeated St. Louis University High in the championship game, 7-6. Mundelein earned its berth in the championship by edging Schaumburg in the semifinals 9-8 in three overtimes.Girls water poloMundelein 5, York 3: Sarah Honda scored a team-high 3 goals, including the game-winner with 3:12 left to lift Mundelein to a victory in a closely contested defensive battle.Alexis Jones added 2 goals for the Mustangs while Jessica Cleveland, Stephanie TerBush and Devon Tamm scored for York.
