Dance Week at the Des Plaines Park District

Bring a Friend to Dance Week at the Des Plaines Park District draws over 70 participants

The Des Plaines Park District celebrated Bring a Friend to Dance Class Week March 8-15. Dancers of all ages, in all classes, tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern and lyrical, were invited to share their love of dance with friends and family.

"It is a wonderful way for non-dancers to experience what dancing is all about, and for current dancers to try a new dance form," said Laura Chiuve, instructor with the Des Plaines School of Dance.

Friends and family were able to participate in the warm-up and technique part of class, and view the 2010 School of Dance recital routines in progress. Participating dancers and friends received complimentary tickets to the Artistry in Motion 2010 Spring Showcase which was held at the Prairie Lakes Theatre. For more information or to register for summer dance classes, call (847) 391-5700 or visit desplainesparks.org.
