No one hurt after vehicle plunges into pond off I-355
No one was injured early Saturday when a car slid into a pond off I-355 near Lisle, authorities said Monday.
Officials from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District were dispatched to the southbound lanes of the North-South Tollway near the 75th Street exit about 6:30 a.m. after a motorist saw the car plunge into the pond.
When divers from area fire departments arrived, they found the driver on shore and the vehicle partially submerged.
The driver, who authorities did not identify, was transported to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove but did not appear to be seriously hurt, officials said.
Lisle-Woodridge units were assisted by crews from the Naperville and Downers Grove fire departments.
