Conant HS has homething big to cheer about

Conant High School in Hoffman Estates held an assembly Monday afternoon to honor their competitive cheerleading team, which won the title for large schools on Saturday at the IHSA state championships at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.

The Cougars capped a successful run of having placed first in the Mid Suburban League Conference, first at the Grayslake North sectional and first after Friday's preliminaries, going into finals.

During the 30-minute school assembly, the team performed their championship routine and presenting the championship trophy - the school's first in competitive cheerleading - to school administrators.
