Jacobs qualifies for state
The Jacobs girls bowling team is headed to the IHSA state finals.
The Golden Eagles rolled a 6-game total of 5,741 Saturday, coming up 55 pins short of winning the Sycamore sectional championship that DeKalb claimed.
Jacobs junior Becca Payne had the fourth best series of the day with a 1,244. Sycamore senior Chelsea Royalty was the individual champion with a 1,308. Jacobs' other scores included a 1,163 from junior Gianna Scarpelli, a 1,148 from sophomore Sarah Siska, a 1,131 from sophomore Ashley Rood and a 1,055 from junior Jennifer Rood.
