Sheahan will bring fiscal responsibility

The Republican primary race to replace Bob Biggins in the 41st congressional district has turned into quite a political contest. The electioneering has been intense. The individual who will represent us in Springfield however should not be left to politics. The decision should be made by sending the most qualified candidate to the General Assembly. It is my opinion that the correct individual to become our State Representative is Brien Sheahan.

Brien has been involved in government for over twenty years, beginning right out of college as an aide to former Governor Jim Edgar. He has served us well for the last seven years on the DuPage County Board. During his tenure on the board he has voted against residential property tax increases, voted against pay increases for board members and opposed efforts to make DuPage County home rule.

It is this type of leadership and fiscal management that we sorely need at the state level.

Brien has the experience and knowledge to help turn around the problems we face in state government. Having served on the Lombard Village Board, I understand what is necessary to make government work. I am quite comfortable in sending Brien to Springfield to represent my interests. I encourage all who have supported my principles and ideas, as well as those who have differed with me, to make the correct decision and elect Brien Sheahan as the Republican candidate for State Representative in the 41st congressional district.
