Rand Road between 7 and 10:40 p.m. Jan. 20 and stole an iPod, GPS unit, purse, and nursing equipment. Value was estimated at $550.bull; Burglars broke into a 2004 Dodge Intrepid on the 1900 block of Cambridge Drive between 12:05 and 12:32 a.m. Jan. 21 and stole a flip-screen stereo and cologne. Kapusta, 18, of the 6600 block of Norwood Court, Harwood Heights, was arrested around 12:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at Abercrombie and Fitch in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft. Khan, 24, of the 2200 block of Pennview, Schaumburg, was arrested around 11:50 p.m. Jan. 14 in a parked car in the apartment complex and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is Feb. 22.bull; Lawrence Mendez Jr., 30, of the 500 block of Boxwood, Schaumburg, was arrested around 1:40 a.m. Jan. 17 on Weathersfield Way at Limerick and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and traffic violations. His court date is March 12.bull; Ramiro Tello, 22, of the 500 block of Hill Drive, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 3:10 a.m. Jan. 16 at Roselle Road and Hillcrest Drive and charged with traffic violations and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. His court date is March 5.bull; Israel M. Zuniga, 29, of the 400 block of Pleasant Run Drive, Wheeling, and Alberto Abarca, 27, of the 200 block of Seventh Street, Wheeling, were arrested around 4:55 p.m. Jan. 12 in Woodfield Mall. Reports said Abarca was charged with retail theft after he took a pair of shoes from J.C. Penney; Zuniga was charged with possession of stolen property after an officer found him wearing the shoes, and possession of a controlled substance after police found 12 small bags of cocaine. Zuniga's court date is Jan. 26; Abarca's court date is Jan. 22.Streamwood bull; Christine A. Bowers, 23, of the 300 block of North Cardinal Street, Cortland, was arrested around 8:20 p.m. Jan. 14 at Route 20 and Clubtree and charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin).
