Most District 211 fees stay same
Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 took its annual look at various fees and is keeping most of them the same.
The board voted to keep the transportation fee, which covers bussing of students living less than 1.5 miles from school, at $170 for the 2010-11 school year. The driver's education fee will remain at $350 next year and the student parking user fee will remain at $65 per semester. The textbook/instructional fee stays at $160. Breakfast and lunch prices for the government-backed program for disadvantaged students will also stay the same.
There is a $10 increase for noncredit summer athletic and activity camps which will go from $60 per semester to $70. That puts the camps at the same level as what it costs for two-hour summer academic programs, which is $140.
